Don’t Fear Interest Rates!
So, a huge topic in real estate conversation these days is around rising mortgage rates. The hike in rates over the past 6 months from a low 3% in March of 2022, to today where a 30-year fixed rate on a conventional mortgage is hovering in the high 6% range, has led to market uncertainty, affordability questions, and in many cases fear around making the decision to buy a home. I am here to tell you, do not be afraid!
There is OPPORTUNITY TO BUY in every type of market … you just need to know HOW TO IDENTIFY & EVALUATE the opportunities. Below is a picture of my first home in Atlanta, GA. My interest rate was 7.5% and buying that sweet little home is what kicked off my real estate investment journey. I now own millions of dollars of real estate. It all started with this first purchase.
If you would like to talk through how to make buying a home a possibility, I would love to connect. One of my favorite things to do is helping folks evaluate their own situations and figure out the best way to make real estate work for them! It can be done in any type of market and could mean purchasing a home in the next few months or the next few years. The important thing is to be looking for the opportunity and to be ready when the opportunity presents!
